Flue HQ Limited received the order to conduct the remedial works of 8No.flues at BMW Sytner in Solihull.
The works involved completed 1no. complete flue system replacement due to a leaking flue. The flue replaced was 1no. 130mmØ single wall flue system serving 1no. heat exchanger. Flue HQ also received the order to extend 5 other flue systems that were previously wrongly installed and were discharging behind louvres. These flues have now been extended beyond the louvres and comply with CAA.
The final 2 flues at roof level were loose and were fitted without locking bands and/or have deteriorated over time causing the flues to slightly come apart. These flues taken apart, checked and were repaired and locking bands fitted to ensure longevity of the system.
All flues were fitted with mesh horizontal bird beak terminals to ensure that no water ingress and or bird nesting can take place.
Flue HQ also supplied a cherry picker and a scissor lift for the access outside the building.
Two of our qualified Engineers attended site to complete the works for BMW including one of our Project Managers who overlooked the whole operation and made sure everything was running smoothly.
The project was completed within the required time of two days.
