STONE STUDIOS - COMMERCIAL FLUE SYSTEM -PROJECT COMPLETE

Flue HQ were selected for the design, supply and installation of the flue systems at Stone Studios in Hackney.
Stone Studios is one of London’s most exciting neighbourhoods and will feature a new development of 120 loft apartments in a set of five adjoining buildings combined with 5,037 sq m of commercial space. The project is situated within the London Legacy Development Corporation zone with a Section 106 agreement in place.
The development will also deliver a new public route connecting Hackney Wick station with the Queen Elizabeth Park.
Our part of the works was to design, supply and install the flue systems to serve 6No. Hoval Ultra Gas 600 Boilers.
A pressure test was also carried out on these flue systems to ensure everything was running as it should.
The product that we selected for this particular application was our MF, Twin Wall Insulated Flue Pipe, this product range is constructed from an inner wall of 0.5mm grade AISI 316L Stainless Steel and a 0.5mm grade 304 external wall. The 25mm void is packed with 128kg/m high density rockwool insulation.
The joints are push-fit complete with a tri-lip inner silicone ring for a condensing application.
Our MF product gives a positive pressure resistance of up to 200Pa and a continuous high temperature capability of up to 600° at 200 pascals independently tested to BS476: Part 24 for 4 Hours.
We worked closely with our client to ensure budget and project completion time were met.
